[RC] rider back pain/saddles - heidi larsonI have to agree with Chris on saddles, check out the ones that put you more in a bareback position, meaning your pelvis sits under you rather than behind you. I have three floating chips in my lower back, thanks to my spooky arab, and also have lifted poorly in the past, so have lower back issues. I rode in a wintec that fit my horse, but man did it do a number on me. Even after only a 5 mile ride, I'd not want to go get on my horse the next day. I have the Free and Easy saddle that Moss Rock endurance sells and I can now do a 50 relatively pain free. Still, doing alot of walking (my horse walking that is) can bother it somewhat, especially on flat ground, but I'd say overall after riding now (even our last 50) I have little or no back pain.
