Also, what about keeping that heart rate down while standing in line for the vet and a mare in heat walks by smelling oh-so-interesting?!? My boy is 7 and proven himself a gentleman (being shown, ridden in company, etc.), so I have few concerns about keeping his focus. My concerns are more along the lines of the forward issues and getting an undistracted read on his heart rate and recovery.
