Frank> There are athletes and there are coaches. Early in my life I had several swimming coaches who guided me through the changes in exercise protocols that occurred between the time that the Australians dominated Olympic swimming and the advent of Interval Training and US dominance. As a licensed Standardbred trainer, I still went back to a coach--Frank Zubovich at Ohio State--for guidance in developing an appropriate IT routine for trotters and pacers. None of my coaches ever swam with me. Frank came down and drove some workouts at the Delaware, Ohio track, but just for fun. I've had as many as 40 racehorses under my care at one time. But I came not to enjoy the backstretch environment--even back then there was a lot of crookedness and complete disregard for the well-being of both horses and jockeys/drivers. So, 25 years or so ago I became a coach. That's what I do for a living--if that's ok by you. ti =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
