My daughter's mare would drink just fine on the
trail, however, it was over a year before she'd pee on the trail. She would wait
hours just to get turned out to pasture & run under her "tree" then
pee. We'd even keep her tied to the trailer somesomes after we got home
trying to encourage her to go before being turned out. Nope, wouldn't do it.
Then all of a sudden she started peeing on the trail......actually it started on
our 2nd 50, when another rider had to pee. LOL That's all it took, from then on
she'd go almost anywhere. I guess she figured if riders could pee on the trail,
so could she.
