==========================================

   A 10-11 year old bird dog field trial TWH/MFT is not even close to being
over the hill,or expected to sell cheap-just the opposite! Most any TWH/MFT has
plenty of go-power,enthusiasm,and stamina. If you get one with field trial
experience,he will usually be a pretty good horse...USUALLY,of course! As for
price...who knows?... like any horse deal,you might buy a great one for the
meat price or a stinker for $7000...! When I buy my next one,he's gonna have to
be great.If he is,price won't be an issue one way or the other. If you buy a
horse from a professional dog handler,expect to pay top dollar,but expect a
pretty good "made" horse.They buy 'em,use 'em,and sell 'em for a profit all the
time. If you go to a field trial to buy a horse,you can get a good long
try-out...Caveat Emptor...They don't call it horse tradin' for nothin'....I'd
say $2500-$4000 is the range these days.
