RE: [SPAM] [RC] Selenium - heidiAgain a question from South Africa, one I can't quite reconcile with the mails on Selenium recently posted. I had 3 endurance horses tested recently for Selenium levels. My lab printout came back with a reading of around 150ng/ml. According to the lab this was sufficient. Is it enough or should I be supplementing? At the moment I am not adding anything to increase this level. Regards Andrea Nanograms per milliliter (ng/ml) is the same thing as parts per billion (ppb). So you should be aiming for the normal range of 200 to 250 ng/ml or ppb. Your horses are not terribly deficient--but could use a bit of supplementation.
