Re: [RC] Old mares and their foals - DESERTRYDR1And along with uterine circulation isn't there an issue with uterine scarring, in that the more scarring the less good uterine surface for the transfer of nutrients? Thus an older mare who is hard to get in foal due to a fair percentage of uterine scarring, it would be better to not even bother? I remember reading somewhere that uterine scarring is one cause of low fertility in older mares, and this actually makes more sense as a cause of "less than optimal" quality foals than JUST age being the factor. jeri =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
