RE: [RC] Barbara's "glycogen loading" post - Libby & Quentin Llop DVMI'm interested in learning more about glycogen loading. You're probably familiar with a recent study that found much better recovery with feeding a high carbohydrate meal immediately post exercise. I think the research was done on sled dogs. I wonder if it works for horses. Dot's experience would indicate so. What's the difference between a field report and a testimonial? It's been a long time ago, but as I remember the horse did not do well. Barbara> What was done, Barbara? Some people die jumping off buildings and others land on mattresses. It's all in the facts and details, which you have not provided here. Errors teach just as much, or more, than good guesses--as long as the facts are known. An empty observation like that above adds nothing to the cumulative knowledge of a group like RC. Clearly its purpose is to inhibit those who want to explore new concepts. Druidic. By the way, do you understand the difference between glycogen loading and carb supplementation? ti =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
