RE: [RC] Reply to Bruce Weary - heidiTom said: Another phase comes into play here: "First, do no harm." That should be part of the oath of anyone dealing with athletic horses. This also needs to be part of the oath in dealing with the people who take care of those athletic horses. If you have first insulted them, called them names, and in other ways turned them off, you have so harmed the channel of communication that you can no longer impart even the best of information to them. And if they are really off on a tangent, then you become an accomplice in doing the harm to the horses. Tom, sometimes you come up with some good stuff. But it is so often cloaked in harmful rhetoric and self-aggrandizement that it is not always possible to sort the wheat from the chaff, as some have suggested readers should do. It seems that your primary intent here is precisely to DO harm, rather than to try to help horses by educating their owners. A few will mine an occasional pearl, but the education of others is set back. It is far more successful to impart information politely than to try to impart it rudely.
