[RC] Carolina Moonlight 60 (who left the heat on?) - rides2far

It's been so cool the past 3 days it's hard to remember how
rugged our 2 weeks of high nineties to over 100 degrees was. I
know it's been that hot many times here in North Carolina, but
this time seemed really tough.

It's darned near impossible to convey to people what it's like just by
saying the temp. I was in Colorado a couple of weeks ago and the TV out
there kept talking about the "heat wave" in the 90's. Heck, mornings you
had to wear a sweatshirt, could wear a long sleeved T-shirt till noon.
Might put on a tank top in the middle of the day but it was so windy I
wasn't too uncomfortable the day I only had my long sleeved shirt with
the sleeves rolled up. Never damp with sweat the entire week, guess it
evaporates.

Came back home to "upper 80's." Walked out at 8 AM and my shirt was
soaked in just a few minutes. It's sticky, hot, still, steamy. If you let
the horse get hot you can't get him cool again. We're using our
windshield wipers in the evenings on the humidity! (not kidding) You guys
who did Carolina and Summer Breeze have my admiration for your
tenacity...but not for your judgement! :-)

Angie who smells much worse in the south than I did out west :-P
