Over the years our project was donated about three large boxes of stuff...everything from halters, to bridles, pads, splint boot and even a shoe boil donut and a cribbing halters (those were fun because I had the kids guess what they were!) I went through the boxes and took out the items that needed repair and had really poor leather (basically removed the danger items). At one of the meetings I put all the stuff on the table and drew names to see who got to go first to pick stuff out. The kids loved it! We could have also sold the stuff at a tack swap to raise some money but the tack needed a lot of TLC and we just didn't have time for that.
