Re: [RC] Amazing 1st 100 - rides2farI just had to recall an incident on a 100-miler of many years ago: Somewhere into the night, I arrived at a vet check and my husband was crewing for me. I, who can go to sleep at some of the oddest opportunities, lay down on a stack of lumber and fell sound asleep After the North American Championships in Flagstaff I remember Russell Broussard sitting upright in his trailer falling asleep mumbling "I've got to ice Little Man". I assured him I'd do it and he just sort of was *out*. After tha Pan Ams in VT I fell asleep on the ground blocking the door to Kaboot's stall. Wanted to make sure I knew when the vets came for the 2 hr. post ride and the fat lady REALLY sang to say we'd made it for sure. Very disorienting when you wake up somewhere like that and can't find your crew. (He was asleep sitting at the wheel of the truck) Angie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
