Because Colin Dangaard had taken that saddle on,you are dealing with a
reputable, long term outfit.FYI: pivoting side bars have been around for a
while.I have always wondered if they wouldn't cause the bars to dig in a bit at
the lower edges as the girth is tightened. The pivoting should be pretty much
over with at that time also.BUT,this is one of those vague areas, and the
pivoting may continue a bit as the horse
moves,breathes,shrinks,expands,etc.Overall,the pivoting feature may be
helpful. The Brits added this feature to the Universal Pattern trooper saddle
for the series of 1912.Uncle Sam built one at the same time, where the rigging
circumvented the side bars,to preserve the pivot action once girthed.
