[RC] lost horses - Ridecamp Guest

From time to time I'v seen postings here and herd about people being seperated 
from their horses on trailrides-or they jump the fence. What I was wondering 
is how would ahorse survive alone in the woods-if you fell off and they ran 
away? Would they return back to camp? Or if the park was close to their 
home-would they go back there? Do they have the same "sent-smelling" instincts 
as dogs when they are lost? Foe instance, I you move from one state to another 
could they find their way back to their old home?
