Re: [RC] Dogs in Camp - Jim & Drin BeckerI really have a pet peeve about this ! First off let me say that I have four dogs here at home and love them to death , one of them is a wire haired fox terrier that I like to take to rides because I usually have to haul by myself so it is nice for the company . What really ticks me off and I have had this happen way more than one time is people who bring their dogs to ridecamp then just turn them loose . I have had my little dog attacked twice now (so I no longer bring her to rides) by other dogs when she was on a leash once with me holding the leash and one time while she was tied to my trailer . I also own an Akbash sheep guard dog and there are times I would like to load her in a trailer and bring her to a ride and turn her loose and let her clean up camp and let these people see how it feels . I ride in two regions , NW and Mtn and it always seems to me that it is the same people who bring these unfriendly dogs to rides , WHY ?? My dog is a well behaved friendly dog as are 95 % of the dogs at ridecamp and I do not mind a dog coming into my camp to visit but why bring these dogs that are just looking for a fight ? It's beyond me what some people are thinking .
