Re: [RC] dogs in camp - rdcarrieWhoo-ee, talk about opening a can of worms!!! Or maybe yellow jackets? <VBG>
Ok, I'll start. I don't have a problem with dogs in camp, even if they're wandering around off lead (most of the time). I know, horrors. LOL But I love dogs, and like playing with other people's dogs in camp. :) HOWEVER...I do have a problem with people letting them pee on other riders' stuff, and wander into other people's camps. We take our geriatric Alaskan Malamute with us during the (brief) cool part of the year, and she's always tied or on a leash, since she'll wander, and is not particularly friendly to strange dogs (adores people, though). We get really tired of chasing *other* peoples' dogs out of our camp to keep THOSE dogs from getting cuisinarted by our tied dog. If you're gonna bring your dog and let it run loose, folks, at least keep an eye on it and know where it's at and what it's doing.
