When we managed the 5-day Applegate-Lassen ride,
several years ago, we had a different award each day. One day we gave ride
T-shirts, another day - a Pat Fredrickson rope halter, another day was the halter rope to match the
halter, one day - visors, and the fifth award I have forgotten at the
moment. Anyway, giving the halters was fun, because everyone was able to
pick the color he or she wanted.
Jan Stevens did a neat thing at the FITS ride in Florida this year.
Had a wide assortment of stuff. Golf shirts, tank shirts, hats, mugs,
bags, shorts, I can't remember but tons of different stuff. She had the
6 day ride. And had a set amount of each set out every day, so if you
came the last day, you could still get a shirt if you wanted.
