[RC] AHA Rides - mkrumlawJust to clarify some information.... AHA does not receive any of the money related to the REGIONAL endurance rides. A ride manager is charged a flat $25 fee to file the application to hold a regional event. It must be signed and approved by the National Endurance Chair. That's if for the fees to AHA. Any ride entries related to the ride go directly to the ride manager. Most ride managers charge a cross entry fee to cover the costs of the additional awards and the additional expenses related to holding the regional. Per the AHA handbook you must have an approved steward, which can add additional costs. You have additional paperwork that must be completed and submitted very timely to AHA, and then you have the awards for each division. Our region (14) supplies the ribbons and Grand trophies but does not supply the BC awards.
