Hi! If your horse was Sweepstakes nominated than you would win money if 
you go Top 5 or better.

If not, than you have a chance to go Region Top 5 or better without 
money.

Arabian breeders, like myself, love it when one of our horses can go 
Region Top 5 or better or National Top Ten.  It helps to validate your 
breeding program.  It gives props to the stallion and mare.  It is also 
quite an accomplishment for the rider and will go on the horse's 
official show record.  Lastly, it can also increase the value of your 
horse!

I would definitely think about doing it!

You mentioned that you were not enrolled in any programs. You might 
want to consider the  Frequent Rider program.  Here, you log the time 
you spend riding your horse in non- competitive events (like your 
training rides).  Once you reach certain milestones you are awarded 
some pretty nice prizes!  I think it may be free to sign up but I don't 
remember.

Likewise, the Competitive Distance Program and the Open Event Incentive 
Program are also great programs to join where you are rewarded for 
achieving certain levels of mileage or points with your horse. I think 
all three of these programs are free or require a small fee.
