Re: [RC] round bales-anybody feeding? - jspooneI feed round bales almost exlusively. I store them on pallets and cover them with heavy truck tarps. The ones I get are around 800 lbs and I can hand roll them in the pasture. Occasionally I get one thats heavier or I have to take it to the far end of the pasture and then I just line my truck up with it and bump it with the truck to roll it there. Works out quite well. I have 7 horses and average about 3 bales a week (I'm in NC). Thats with very very little grass for them to graze on. If I happen to get a questionable looking round bale I unroll it across the pasture and they pick out what they want from it. Hope this helps.
