Re: [RC] Mare heat cycle - Maggie MieskeIt could be social...my sister's mare will act like she's in heat every time she is near Malik who she has been madly in love with for years. In fact, the first time she was bred, we thought she didn't take because she continued to "show" heat many times in the months that followed. She didn't start to show her pregnancy until she was about 7-8 months so we never suspected.
