Re: [RC] bungee ties.... - patriciaTitle: Re: [RC] bungee ties.... How about being in a trailer with a horse hooked with a bungee cord and it decides to pull back – AS HARD AS HE CAN – and within a millisecond POP, the buckle lets go from the halter and smacks you right above the eye and bounces to the forehead and leaves a nice deep impression. If you ever saw the Movie Carrie, that is what the amount of blood reminded me of. Fortunately I only needed 5 stitches. And doesn’t it just figure that it was all in helping a “friend” get her horse out of her trailer. There were two horses in the trailer, and She just walked off with one horse and opened the tail gate for the trailer one never checking to see if I had un hooked him yet. Of course, with his travel mate leaving, and his gate open in the back, he naturally decided it was time to leave, hooked up or not. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of bungee cords around horses.patricia From: <mjwest02@xxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 01 Jul 2005 00:18:52 -0400 To: <stlst@xxxxxxx>, <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>, <jonnij@xxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [RC] bungee ties.... You are lucky you did not get hurt -- My husband got a nasty cut between the eyes when one got loose - lucky he didn't put out an eye - When they get OVERSTRETCHED, they are lethal!
