[RC] Tevis question - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Okay, here is a question for all of you Tevis veterans out there.
Technically, what is the most difficult part of the course in
your opinion, and what is the best way to complete it success-
fully? For example, if you know that you are coming up on this
particular section, what changes would you suggest to make with
the way you are riding (just for an example, get off and walk
5 miles before hitting Cougar Rock or something like that) that
allow you to successfully continue where others that do not make
such adjustments wind up getting pulled? I am probably getting
way too strategic about a 100 mile ride, but if I do enter I want
to make sure that I am doing the best for me and my horse and
make it a positive ride for both us (AND get a completion). What
is the most important part of the course to just take it easy and
watch your pace to conserve for the rest of the journey, if you
want to DO WELL but not necessarily go gangbusters and top 10.
I do not want to underestimate this course and have never done a
100, so any advice from the seasoned veterans would be VERY
appreciated. Thanks!!

Lauretta and Shaba (I like how she just includes me in all of
this stuff and never asks me beforehand...good thing I like her
and she bribes well.....)
