Re: [RC] Clothing used for hot, sunny desert riding, love to hear from non-USA riders too. - Zephyr Arabians--- Ridecamp Guest <guest-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: What materials do you recommend for desert riding, hot, sunny, drier climate? I am hoping to do a 100 in August, and am trying to find a shirt that will keep the sun from sucking my skin dry. Do you use gloves too, if so what type of material? In So Cal I used to ride in a white long sleeved men's dress shirt (took ones my husband was throwing away). The collar keeps the sun off your neck & the fabric is stiff enough to stand away from the body rather than clinging (especially as my husband is literally about twice my size). I always ride in gloves. I like the cheapy stretch ones. They're thin & wear out every couple months, but are cheap enough that I consider them disposable. ~Nicole Zephyr Arabians http://www.zephyrarabians.com KattWmn Web Design http://www.kattwmn.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
