[RC] Update on AHA jr. Award - Jody Rogers-ButtramHello all,
Thought I would let everyone know what happened. I did get in touch with a real person the other week. Joni is to receive a gift certificate for a pair of Ariat boots. Nice award, but not something we can put on the mantel for years. I did tell her we could have them bronzed after she outgrows them. :))
The bitch email that I sent to AHA must have gotten their attention. I was contacted by the editor of the AHA magazine. She wanted pictures, and story for the upcoming article about the ride....very friendly lady. So, I supplied the info, background and pics....she is going to even send me a draft of it before the print. Wow. Didn't even have to call in the "Endurance Fairy".
We took the horses to Bankhead (locate trail system) today...and the head tosser (Cash) did great. First to the vet, he saw nothing, but he wasn't sedated, so I know, I know. I also put him in a bitless bridle with a rope nose band. He seemed very calm and relaxed and went down the trail great. Only a couple of tosses the whole 16 miles. We'll see how that holds out.
