Start time : 4am
Trail; Will be run in reverse this year so that trailers can easily pick up the 85 milers.
The trail is a single loop 100 Milers will start and finish at the ride site. 50 milers finish on top of the mountain (Antelope Butte Ski Area) and must arrange to trailer their horse back down to base camp.
The weather is unpredictable…it could be 90 degrees and sunny or snowing.Be prepared.
The ride begins at 4:00 A.M. in a controlled start.
Base Camp
Base camp will be at the Trapper Creek Ranch at Shell, Wyoming.Follow the signs from Highway 14 at Shell to the camp.There is a camping fee of $10 for the 1st horse and $5 for each additional.There is no extra fee for early arrival.If you can come early, there will be trail marking each day which you are welcome and encouraged to participate in.
Check In, Pre –ride Barbeque and Meeting
Pre-ride vet check will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Friday evening.You must enter and receive a number before being allowed to check your horse with a vet.The Barbeque will begin at 7:00 followed immediately by the pre-ride meeting.The awards for the 100 will be held on Sunday morning at 9:00 A.M.
