At the first check we lost both juniors, what a
bummer!Poor Joni, now folks if you
don’t know this young lady, watch out, we’re talking horsewoman here, be
prepared for some whoop a*% from this one!It was a great sight to watch her and Love together.
Long story short, we were down to the 4 of us; Marie, Ken, Jody and I…
Mind you, we just so happened to be bringing up the rear here; there was
singing, laughing, joke telling, I even did the “Chicken Dance”, on horse back
for them, I had to quit before poor Marie fell off laughing.Poor Ken, now he was stuck with 3 crazy
woman, laughing like hyenas over nothing, talking menstrual, menopause, you name
it, moments.Ol’ Butt head fell
madly in love with Ken’s mare “Shadow” and as far as he was concerned, there was
nothing going to keep him from her, so Ken couldn’t have gotten away if he’d
tried.Well, he probably could
have; however, it was going to take the death of me or a real big tree to tie
him to!When it was all said and
done, we had a four way tie for the “Turtle Award”.I was very happy; don’t think I would
have been happier if we would have won!We had a great ride. And now
Ol’ Butt head is only 10 miles away from his 2000 miles (after finishing 2 days
at Hoosier Daddy)! That to me means
more than any first place. He has
been the fight of my life when it comes to horses (hence the name “BUTT HEAD”),
but damn, I love this horse. The
whole third loop he KNEW what was going on, where he was and that home wasn’t
far.What a feeling to have a horse
pulling on you after two days of NOT easy trail,Butt Head or not he’s MINE and I am
thankful! Thank you Ken, Marie and Jody for making this one heck of
memory!
Summer Breeze, here we come and by golly, be prepared for
one delirious rider!I know some
will laugh at my enthusiasm, just 2000 miles for my horse, however the crap this
one has put me through, it feels like 10,000!I will wear my smile proudly!
