If a horse has never been adjusted before, your chiropractor is correct that about a week is appropriate. But it is not a hard and fast rule. My horses that get adjusted regularly learn to rebalance very quickly, plus they haven't strayed too far from the straight and narrow to begin with. Those horses only need a couple of days. AND in the right hands, pre-competition adjustments, where things aren't done too aggressively and there is minimal, minor adjustments, can be made the day before.Kim Henneman, DVM, CVA, CVC Park City UT USA
