Re: [RC] [RC] for men too! - Maggie MieskeI am pretty sure I will go the "no/very little" pain meds route. When I had my 3 C-sections, I was out of the hospital before other women who also had C's because I got up and WALKED as soon as they let me. I went home a day earlier. And I don't remember getting morphine back then...last year, daughter Carrie had a morphine drip!!! I couldn't believe it! And she was VERY dependent on it. I think all I got was Tylenol with codeine or maybe Motrin. I hate taking pain meds unless absolutely necessary...I do believe they delay recovery. However, if pain is bad, you have to keep on top of it. Hopefully, it won't be any worse than having surgery and bringing home a baby...I know I am older but endurance has made me even tougher and I am probably fitter than I was then even though I am short and fat (it's all muscle under that flab, I am sure of it!). :) MM =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
