Re: [RC] Equithotics Sneakers & Pedal Osteitis - Dabney FinchI had an endurance horse once with pedal osteitis. Had a "corrective" shoer work on him (looked to me as if all he did was radically back off the toes) and the horse was back to endurance in a very short time!As for Equithotics, I tried them and also picked up a couple of stones, and then my horse's hooves started to blow out with them, so that experiment was over. Elfta is using a shoe now on Kaizen that is front half steel and back half just like sneakers--this is working the Best Yet! Let me know if you want me to try to find out where she gets these and what they're called. --Dabney Finch ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lucy Chaplin Trumbull" <elsietee@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2005 5:16 PM Subject: [RC] Equithotics Sneakers? One of my horses has been diagnosed with pedal osteitis, so it looks like any chance of her doing distance are out of the window :( Right now, the recommendation is to shoe her with Equithotics Sneakers. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
