This is pretty common in Arabians. I've had really good success so far with my Barefoot treeless saddle on multiple horses. However, if the horse in question is having real issues of accepting a saddle, and IS accepting the dressage saddle, maybe the rider should bite the bullet and ride in the saddle the horse likes. Maybe with time a saddle can be found that both horse & rider like, but in the meantime riding in a saddle the horse accepts may be more important. (Until last year I did all my riding, including LDs & 50s, in a dressage saddle.)
