[RC] OD High Vet Score/ another rookie - rides2farTake this for what it's worth, got it from a cell phone call and I may screw up. Dave Bennett called and said the high vet score horse in the 100 was a 20 year old mare on her first endurance ride ever and the rider's first endurance ride. The real shocker is she lives about 15 miles down the road from me in Rising Fawn, GA! Linda Norton...is this your relative? I think he said her name was Christy and the mare looked great. Dave agreed the weather was a killer. He and his riding companions came into the 40 mile check too late to make the cut-off. Said it took them 4 hrs. to do a stretch that took them 2 hrs. last year.
