I would never try to load a horse into a trailer unless it was hooked to a 
tow vehicle and ready to pull.  I don't think it would be as stable if not 
hooked to a tow vehicle, and on the off-chance something were to happen, you 
would 
have just convinced a horse never to load in a trailer again.  jeri
