[RC] AERC-NC: Color Commentary from 1200 miles away:) - John TeeterThe starters for the AERC 100 NC ride today are listed by the AERC
divisions for which AERC 2005 Champions will be awarded.
It doesn't list who is in the FEI division of the ride. This, likely,
b/c of the desire not to overshadow the AERC competitions (see
below:).
But I'm thinking we will be lucky to have many updates today from
Ft. Howes, although Fritz is going to send as many as he can!
But, in the meantime, I can do "color" commentary from afar. (although
if you all find this spurious or I get bored with it, it may not last
long:)
So 3 Juniors! It's nice to see Rae-Ann/Jet, Robyn/Kris, and
Jennifer/Shakar riding! Rae-Anne and Robyn have been to many rides
here in Oreana. It's nice to see them doing the 100 along with
Jennifer, who likely knows the trails pretty well! I'd not be able to
predict a winner here; I've seen lots of Jet and Kris, and they always
come in pretty much together (with Carol!), although the order (if not
a tie) and who is riding whom tends to change:) Rae-Anne and Jet have
done 3 100s before (starting in 2001) - This will be their 1st 100
this year. Robyn and Gypsy did their 1st 100 last summer at Nesbit
Forest, finishing 4th in 15:07
I've not seen Jennifer/Shaker before though - they finished 8th
overall, in 14:48, at the 2004 Canadian AHA National Championship
(FEI***) ride last year on her first 100. It should be a good division
to watch!
Additionally, the upcoming FEI Juniors World Championship (Bahrain next
December)
are possibly a goal for these young women!
