If anyone is going to this ride, pack for all kinds of weather, warm (but not hot compared to Southern standards) wet, and certainly cold. The woods are great, tons of deer to see and no nasty Southern Snakes. I think if I remember correctly, the middle day, Weds. was the one that your rode thru the mine fields....don't get off the trail. Wish I were going, maybe Joni and I can go up and do it together someday. Jody and the girls S2S is a great ride ... I have a video of the year you're talking about. The video includes Barbara Daly, Kathy Kissick and I at a vet check singing a parody of the ride manager that we made up along the trail. It also includes video of me in a vet check wearing a black lace bra ... but that's another story.
