A word of caution from an old mushroom hunter. Ed is right about seeing things you ain't never seen before after eating mushrooms. Down south here horse and cow manure will grow cubinis a relative of the psilocybe mushroom. Around here you are more likely to come across aminata ocreata, the angel of death.just handling these bad boys is dangerous. The meadow mushroom however is a relative of the commercial mushrooms you buy in the store and is easy to identify, it's most likely the one in the fairy rings you see out in the pasture after a rain. The bottom line is make a positive ID of any shroom you intend to eat be it for food or recreational purposes
