The hairless part is far enough behind the withers... not near the spine..
a spot on each side by 3" x 4".. it is where the weight is from the
stirrups ... where I would post/stand.

The whole back was wet when the saddle came off.. there was no heat or
sweling.. that is why I was shocked to have the hair fall off a few days
later.

I do have a Dixie Midnight that I normally use.. but forgot it at home.

I also have a high profile woolback with inserts... should I use that?
