Re: [RC] Dumb TWH Question? - RibbonRidgHi Laney,I ride all my foxtrotters at a working trot, as well as foxtrot, rack, running walk and flat foot walk - whatever their capabilities. In my experience, a horse needs some pace to gait well, that is, if he trots too often and in preference to a lateral gait, he may not have the smooth gait a rider is looking for. One of my geldings has both a rack and a big square trot - very versatile. Keep shopping but don't rule out one just because it doesn't seem friendly, sometimes they just need a person to dote on them, Kitty Longino NW Arkansas
