rule to live if it aint broke dont fix it.benn to poor all my life to afford a 
farrier.my dad always trimmed uor horses, i trim mine. once i had a show 
horse,had shoes put on for show ring. when we pulled them and left all those 
empty nail holes in his hooves i knew that i would never do that again. just 
dont make any sense to nail steel to something alive and well.
put boots on and ride if you think he needs them, he will be alright. read
