[RC] [RC] Removing Old barbwire , suggestions - L gin - Sherman

My neighbor had barbed wire around his property, fortunately, just a top strand, but it was rusty & loose. When he offered the property for our horses to graze I did replace it with hot-wire. Yes, use heavy leather gloves and protective clothing. I first removed long, maybe 50' sections, from the posts, then using heavy duty gloves, went along picking up & folding the wire into about 1.5' - 2' lenghts. Whenever I had a large bundle, I'd use bolt cutters to end my section and put a wrap on it to keep it bundled. Into the garbage it all went. It'd go faster with a couple of sons to help. I only had about 3 acres to do, but it was cross-fenced as well.
