RE: [RC] [RC] green grass, founder and body shape and condition - Mary SutliffAdd Paso Finos to the easy keeper/prone to IR list. We have 5 Pasos 2 of which are insulin resistant. A third, my wonderful black gelding who was just diagnosed with ringbone, is starting to get cresty because he can't be worked as hard as usual. He's not reacting well to the grazing muzzle - just stands there and pouts or decides to take a long nap. Those IR horses need a low carb/low sugar hay and that's hard to find. A whole set of problems I wish I didn't have to deal with! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
