[RC] Arab behavior - JonniThanks for sharing about Banner Barbara. He sounds like a keeper. I used to ride my "retired" endurance horse as a patrol horse at a shopping mall. The company has malls nationwide that they hire for patrol work, and they had only about 4 Arabians that had passed the sensory test to qualify for the job. Drut was perfect for the job. He enjoyed all the kids stopping to pet him, and was steady under any circumstance. We had shopping carts bump in to him, alarms go off in cars as we passed them, fire trucks arrive with lights and sirens. You name it, and he was always perfect. A great representative of what Arabians can do. One of my favorite photos was when we took him into the security managers office as a joke, to show him standing behind the desk. The room was only about 8x8, and I had to back him through the door, and have him serpentine around as he backed, to get behind the desk, facing the door so I could take his photo. I had "cowboy" types pass us from time to time, look at him standing there on the sidewalk 1/2 asleep, and say in astonishment " Is that an Ay-Rab??? I've never seen one so calm". I wanted to say they just have not been around enough of them, but just smiled instead........
