RE: [RC] [RC] ponies in distance riding? - Flora HillmanWhen I went to get my double registered 1/2 Welsh/ 1/2 Arab listed with the AERC back in 2002 I was surprised they didn't have a Welsh/Arab classification. They created it at my request, so my pony was the first one listed in the Welsh/Arab designation. :-) I'll hazard a guess there are a lot more than mine and two other Welsh/Arabs out there competing in endurance rides -- most are probably listed as 1/2 Arab. All my other ponies are Section B's and they are a **joy** to ride and drive. Quiet, sensible, beautiful gaits, hearty, and wonderfully sound. They are easy to get fit, and once in condition can stand up to the Arabs in endurance any day of the week. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
