I grew up in middle Tennessee.  As a kid the weather didn't bother me at 
all.  On Memorial Day, my mother would lie down on the couch and 
announce that she was too hot to cook or do anything else and not to 
expect much from her until after Labor Day.  Now I realize she'd dreamed 
up the perfect excuse for taking her own summer vacation!
