I feel truly blessed because my farrier is a good friend of Harry Whitney's who works with Dr. Deb. My farrier, Scott has soaked up a lot of knowledge from those two people. When he tells me that my home bred horses are put together well, it means a lot to me knowing who he rubs elbows with! A lot of people will tell you that to be kind, or because they think a horse "looks" pretty. But he understands form to function and it makes me feel good to know my breeding program is on the right track in that regard.

 

He also has taught me a lot about horse behavior that has helped a bunch! Never hurts to pick someone else's brain! I'll never be able to afford a Deb Bennett clinic or Harry Whitney clinic, but I get the next best thing, LOL
