[RC] Rides in Michigan - Allegra C I'd like to start conditioning my boy Boco some time this summer, he is currently 3 and thought to be a "late baby" , so to be safe I though I would wait until about August to start any thing to intense. By August he should be 4. Unfortunetly he was bought from a trader who knew little about him.
The longest ride we've gone on this year was 8 miles, and we took it at a walk with a few breaks. (I was so proud of him, he was an absolute gentleman.) This is the horse that I was training, but the owner decided to give him to me. I'm so glad, I'd cry if I had to see him go back to his old owner, all his training would slowly get un-taught.
Any who, I'd like to (possibly), take him to some Long Distance (25 milers) late this fall in Michigan, not to compete but just to get him and I used to the whole scene. I planned last year to take my 24 year old, but then recieved Boco and starting working full time, so I didn't have much free time.
