Re: [RC] BLM horse perspective and attitudes long rant - Karen Sullivan----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara Moulton" <outermostsoul@xxxxxxxxx> this just perpetrates vets, barn owners, show people, SENATORS! and farriers assuming mustang owners are cheapskates with cheap horses. Barbara and Joy who is spoiled more than the imported warmbloods the barn owners and everybody else with something to sell suck up to. I still maintain, that the mustang I saw last summer in Santa Rosa Ca, at Dressage in the Wine Co., was every bit as well conformed, not to mention well trained as some of the $$$$ warmbloods. This would be Steens Vaquero (Cowboy), a 15.2h grulla kiger stallion (BLM) from the Steens Mtn. area. I got a good, up close look at him and was totally impressed with legs, feet and how he was put togeher and moved. Disposition mild mannered and cooperative. Was out in warmup area for hour, with many other horses (some doing runs to warm up-drill team)...went calmly on a loose rein. Did an extremely hard dressage routine with advanced moves.....several years of training.... Exceptinonal horse.
