Can you elaborate on which kind(s) of clover are the baddies? We don't have clover in our pasture (horses mowed it down), but do have some in part of the yard and along the driveway, and they really go for it when we have them out. Don't ask me what kind it is. <G> It has the little white flowers when it blooms. We also have this low-growing clover-like stuff with little tiny yellow flowers that they really love - grows along roadsides, etc.

Depends on what kind of clover. Some can cause sufficient clotting disruption to cause pretty severe hemorrhage, and even death if there is some other extenuating circumstance. The mare I rode so many miles back in the 80s lost her first foal due to clover-induced hemorrhage...
