My sister had a horse on whom she used this and she managed to find it for
10-15 a jar rather than the 50+ the vet was going to charge. It worked
beautifully and her horses ear looks perfectly normal now.
Hi there Sometime ago we were discussing melanoma and
medication used to get rid of sarcoids and it has also helped with melanoma. I
referred to some sticky black stuff that my vet gave me to use on my mare. My
vet said it was very expensive (it was!!) and it was the only thing that
worked short of surgery. Some of you wanted to know the name and I kept
forgetting to ask him--- usually when I would see him it would be an emergency
as I do almost all my vet work myself) yet I FINALLY found out what it is
called and looked it up on the web. Karen Ellis hit the nail on the head when
she said it sounded like "xterra"-- I believe the correct spelling is
"xxterra" and the link for info is http://www.vetlineequine.com/ You
have to get it through your vet and you only use just a tiny bit everyday--
then back off a little if too raw then apply again and on and on until the
lesion is gone. Sorry it took me sooo long to get this info to
you. Happy trails! Bette -- Bette Lamore Whispering Oaks
