THANK YOU! I'll even take it a bit farther and ask, had she *really* made
a commitment? Is a person "committing"  to try to make the team when they
nominate or are they simply keeping the option open?

That said, I officially withdraw the whole darned question because it's
not worth it to be associated with a thread that people twist and turn so
they can each find a platform for their own little pet peave or try to
win brownie points by fabricating an attack against someone so they can
come to their rescue.   :-P
